We are a young non-profit that accelerates ocean protection by connecting women across the world. Why? The Ocean needs all of us.

Fundraising Sprint Volunteer (minimum 6 months)
We are currently looking for an outgoing, word savvy and proactive Fundraising Volunteer with great communication skills and passion for the ocean and social media. We offer access to a network of over 1500 professionals working in the ocean field, and the possibility to be exposed to ocean projects around the world. You will help enable W4O to attract financial support and donations for our new online platform.
Do you want to devote your time and skills toward making a difference for the ocean? Do you have some previous fundraising experience or would like to gain experience? Be part of Women4Oceans journey!

What we offer:

What you’ll do:
  • Help plan and implement the fundraising campaign for the new W4O platform, including direct mail, personal solicitation, and online fundraising (Facebook, GoFundMe);
  • Help identify new prospects and potential investors;
  • Execute W4O social media fundraising campaign strategy on all channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Linkedin);
  • Engaging with new and existing audiences through social media, raising awareness and encouraging user generated content across social platforms;
  • Marketing and PR with media outlet as needed;
  • 6 months, 16-20 hours per week, start in mid-July 2019, head quarters in The Hague

Skills: communication, hands-on mentality, works in a structured and timely manner, affinity with online and social media, independent, ambitious and creative personality, negotiator, and eager and energized to help grow W4O

Minimum requirements:
  • 18+
  • College or University level education in marketing/ communications/ journalism/marketing with a strong online component
  • Native fluency in English (written & spoken)
  • Personal laptop, PC or tablet
